Privacy policy

The short version

We collect what it takes to run your orders: your phone number, the addresses you save, and your orders.
The shop you order from sees only what it needs to fill the order.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. The app contains no advertising or analytics trackers.
You can delete your account from the app at any time.

What we collect

Data	Why
Phone number	It is your account. Signing in sends you a code by text message.
Location, if you allow it	To show deals near you and how far away they are. It's used to answer the request; we keep no history of where you've been.
Saved addresses	The label, the recipient's name and phone number, the point on the map, and the address details you type, for delivery orders.
Orders	What you ordered, from which shop, the prices, pickup or delivery, and every change in the order's status.
Favourites, cart and notification settings	So they're as you left them.
Reviews and reports	The rating and comment you give a shop, and anything you report to us.
Device details	A notification token, the platform, app version and language, so we can send your order updates and the deals you've turned on.
Sign-in attempts	The number and time of each attempt, to stop abuse.
Server logs	Our servers record technical details such as your IP address when you use the app or this website. They are kept briefly, for security and troubleshooting.

If you register a shop

We collect the business and branch names, the shop's phone number, its location and opening hours, its delivery settings, and the offers and photos you publish. A shop's details and offers are public in the app.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no analytics, and serves its fonts itself.

Who sees your data

The shop you order from: your account's phone number, the recipient's name and number, the delivery address for delivery orders, and the order itself. It needs them to prepare and deliver the order and to reach you.
Other customers: see shops' public details and ratings. Your rating and comment appear on the shop's page without your phone number.
Service providers that run parts of Saydeh for us, under their own data-protection terms:
- Google Firebase: sends sign-in codes by text message, and delivers notifications.
- Hetzner Online, in Germany: hosts our servers and database.
- Cloudflare: stores product photos and backups, and serves this website.
Authorities, when Jordanian law requires it.

We don't sell data, and we don't share it for advertising.

Where it's kept

On servers in the European Union (Germany), and with the providers above, who may process it in other countries. Data always travels encrypted (HTTPS).

How long we keep it

Your account data: until you delete your account.
Orders: kept after an account is deleted. They are the shop's record of a sale, which it needs for its accounts and for any dispute.
Backups: a copy is taken every night and kept for 30 days, so deleted data can remain in a backup for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Delete account. Or email us if you no longer have the app. The details, including what is deleted and what is kept, are on the account deletion page.

Your choices and rights

Change your addresses and notification settings in the app at any time.
Turn off location or notification permission in your phone's settings at any time.
Ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected, by emailing support@saydeh.com.

Children

Saydeh is for adults ordering and paying for themselves. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect children's data. If you think a child has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
