Delete your Saydeh account
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. If you no longer have the app, email us instead.
In the app
Profile→Delete account→Delete my account
The account is deleted straight away and you're signed out. If a shop is still working on one of your orders, the app asks you to wait until it's collected, delivered or cancelled.
Without the app
Email support@saydeh.com with the phone number on the account. We confirm the request comes from that number before deleting anything, then reply once it's done: within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your phone number and name.
- Your saved addresses.
- Your favourites, cart and notification settings.
- Your devices and sign-in sessions, and any notification not yet sent.
- The words of any review you wrote.
- Google Firebase's record of your number, which it keeps for sign-in codes.
Your number is free again straight away: signing in with it later creates a new, empty account.
What is kept, and why
- Past orders stay with the shop that filled them, including the phone number and address used for them. They're the shop's record of a sale, which it needs for its accounts and for any dispute.
- Star ratings, without their words, because they're part of the shop's average that other people rely on.
- Reports you sent us, because they're evidence in a moderation decision.
- Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Shop accounts
A number that runs a shop can't be deleted from the app, because the shop has offers, orders and a public page attached. Email support@saydeh.com and we'll close the shop and the account together.
